SPECIAL FAMILY DATA COLLECTION: LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND

August 28, 2026 | BPS Activities

TAMBOLAKA, August 28, 2026 | The Statistics of Sumba Barat Daya Regency conducted the Special Family Data Collection as part of the 2026 Economic Census. This data collection is one of the important stages in ensuring complete and accurate coverage of national and regional economic data, with no economic activities left unrecorded.

The Special Family Data Collection targets business units and families engaged in economic activities that are difficult to reach through regular data collection. The targets include families in correctional facilities, social care institutions, dormitories, barracks, ships, households in remote areas, as well as micro and informal business actors.

The Head of the Statistics of Sumba Barat Daya Regency, Ir. Joke Ratna Christina, M.A.P., stated that the 2026 Economic Census aims to capture all economic activities in Indonesia, including small and medium-sized businesses and the informal sector. The data generated will serve as a basis for formulating economic development policies, planning programs to empower MSMEs, and providing strategic indicators down to the village and urban village levels. She emphasized the important role of field officers in identifying and recording all of the community's economic potential.

Field officers are expected to work professionally and carefully. The public, institutional leaders, and business actors targeted by the data collection are also encouraged to provide accurate information and welcome the arrival of field officers. All information provided is guaranteed to remain confidential in accordance with Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics.

The implementation of the Special Family Data Collection for SE2026 in Sumba Barat Daya Regency will continue until August 31, 2026, covering areas across 11 districts. The results of this data collection will subsequently be integrated into the national 2026 Economic Census data.
